Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activities of Endophytic Fungi Extracts of Syzygium zeylanicum

چکیده

Syzygium zeylanicum, one of the other therapeutic plants found in Indonesia, is used to treat various ailments, such as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, arthritis, antidiabetic, mosquitocidal, antitumor, and anti-rheumatic agents. The massive use plant extracts has caused development isolation bioactive compounds thru their endophytic. present research aimed obtain endophytic fungal isolates from stem bark leaves Jambu nasi-nasi (S. zeylanicum) analyze extracts’ antioxidant antibacterial activity. Endophyte identification was performed morphologically, with high biological activity were molecularly characterized. evaluated by disc diffusion method, DPPH method. In total, 10 fungi isolated identified Phialemonium sp. (Code SZT3), Acremonium SZT4), Trichoderma aureoviridae SZT5), koningi SZT7), Phytium torulosum SZL1), zingiberum SZL2), Septonema SZL3), Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae SZL4), Volutella cilliata (SZL5), Trichophyton mentagrophytes SZL7). Isolate SZL4 gave highest (IC50 = 3.30 ????g/mL) strong against four pathogens bacterial thypi, B. subtilis, S. aureus, E. coli). potential based on molecular analysis accession number OK668257. These can be developed into new sources through further studies.
